Look behind those curtains….

Staring away into nothingness
Sinking deeper into the abyss everyday
No one to confide in, no one to talk to
Life has become a hopeless place.

Wonderful smiles adorn the faces
Lively laughs light up the room
But there’s something hidden behind them
Pain, despair, despondence and gloom.

Holding it together till everything breaks
There’s no strength left to mend it now
The delicate breaths slip away into nothing
Leaving behind tears and questions of HOW?

A young, and a very successful actor committed suicide today. It came as a huge shock. He was at the peak of his career, had many more movies signed, and well, on the surface level looked happy. But that wasn’t the case, after all.

Mental health is an important issue. More so in these times. This death shows how depression can make a person take such drastic steps. Even a person like Sushant Singh Rajput. Ironically, the last movie he did was actually based on the issue of suicides in younger generations. He was a very talented, and intellectual person. It will take time to sink in. May his soul rest in peace. 🙏🙏

  1. Your poem was exceedingly beautiful and heart touching.
The pain that some people go through is often overwhelming. I sometimes feel as if I can’t relate to people’s pain, having never gone through anything in my life; having never really rubbed shoulders with death, pain or the lost and found kind of love.
Well, I see you’re trying to bring this to the world as to look the human way, to be humans and to be friends; very candidly saying, your little post will really never reach upon the hearts of many whom it should, other than some people up here on WordPress. But i wish it could. In society, rumor and gossip is the way of talking- people will talk constantly about the financial, personal, spiritual or troubles related to relationships he had without actually feeling anything. I find it sad that man’s heart is so small.

    1. Thank you so much❤
“In society, rumor and gossip is the way of talking….” That’s a sad truth. I’m trying to do what I can. Even if it doesn’t touch the the hearts of all, at least it touches some. And it hurts even more to know, that after a couple of days, people will start forgetting about him. It will just be another juicy gossip that came and went. But I guess that’s what life is.

        1. People have been more shocked by how he died, than his actual death. He was the least of persons to commit suicide. Or so we thought. We might not even have an inkling, and someone close to us may be suffering from depression. It’s really important for people to realize that depression is a disease, a psychiatric disorder. It’s not just a state of mind. I pray and wish that all the people who have to fight this illness have someone to talk to, go confide in. It’s really important….

  2. Babe, I loved this.❤️

But you know, when I read the title, I thought it’s a horror story.😅 I am alone in my room rn but, the best part is the windows in the room didn’t have curtains at the moment. Else I wouldn’t dare to read this.

Keeping my weird imagination aside, that was a very tragic loss. Makes it more tragic due to it being a suicide. Nobody knows the truth and will probably never know.💔

Rest assured, I would NEVER right anything related to horror. Horror is something I despise (after being scared first).

It was a really very tragic loss. You are right, nobody will ever know the truth. I don’t think I’ll ever be over it. I could accept Sridevi’s, Irrfaan’s and Rishi Kapoor’s death. But Sushant was so young and so different from other actors. He was actually such a great human being. It hurts me to know he didn’t have anyone to confide in. 💔💔😭

May his soul rest in peace🙏

  3. We are living in difficult times my friend. I think there is a cumulative impact on society with COVID and people may not even be aware of how it is affecting everyone. Then other tragedies occur.

    “Staring away into nothingness

Beautifully expressed by your poem my friend. We really don’t know everyone’s heartache because people hide behind their plastic faces.”
A lovely tribute to this young talented actor my friend. Please don’t be too sad about this anymore.

I honestly think focusing on the positive around us and every blessings is so important right now. Forgive me if I sound like your mother but I am certain I am old enough to be your mother and I am a mother and this is what I have been telling my daughter.

I will pray that your heart will ease on this subject my friend.

Be blessed keep up your beautiful writing and then we will be able to enjoy your gorgeous words.

Sending you love Ishita. Yours, Joni ❤️💕🤗
