blackness
caresses the night
it’s dark
the depth of the sea
marble
withers to black dust
sandalwood
sans fragrance.
misery
flutters around
tears
turn to acid
demons
spill blood
underworld
comes to earth.
faraway
a shimmering veil
aromatic
like dancing moonlight
weaves
a warm glow
divine
like a ray of hope.
-Ishita Gupta
This poem was inspired by Pandora’s box. I have always loved, that in the end, hope comes out. Even when everything appears sad, and dark, there is always some good hidden somewhere. It’s always there…..
Beautiful poem Ishita it was wonderfully expressed by the use of imagery too!! 😊

The light within the dark, so beautifully written Ishita. I especially loved your opening lines
“blackness caresses the night it’s dark the depth of the sea”
